The filters are antimicrobial treated and hence the air in your home is humidified and also relatively free from harmful germs and bacteria.
2. DuraCraft / Honeywell DF1: This cool mist humidifier is made by Honeywell under its Duracraft brand name. It has a maximum capacity of 1 gallon and can thus be used for almost an entire day without having to refill the humidifier. Because of its Sound Suppressor technology, this Duracraft is virtually noiseless and will not disturb you even in the quiet of night. This Duracraft humidifier is very reliable, and if you do have any problem with it, it will most likely be covered under the 3 year warranty for this humidifier.

Honeywell did have to recall some of its Duracraft humidifiers because the units had a tendency to become very hot and could cause a fire, but this was way back in 1998. Only the Heat Express models had this problem, which has since been solved as all the units were recalled by the maker.
