Proper maintenance comes in the form of cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting humidifier tanks and filters to prevent bacterial and mold growth. Filters should be changed every 2 to 4 months depending on each brand. Cleaning is also essential in clearing mineral sediments or ‘white dust’ that comes from hard water.
